Hello.....This is my first blog ever. Welcome to my page. I will do my best to inspire you with pictures and post of my work and other things that inspire me. I have found the internet to be an amazing source for inspiration for myself and hopefully this little corner in it will inspire you as well.
Just a little about myself.....I am single, living in northern Wisconsin, and have 2 dogs (a Golden Retreiver and a Black Lab) who are my constant companions. I have been quilting for about 12+ years and sometimes feel like I was born with a needle in my hands. I have taught quilting for about 10 of those years but I mostly focus on making my own quilts now. I would like to write a book on crazy quilting in the near future and hopefully blogging will give the some of the skills I will need to publish.
I also enjoy beading but have not been doing that for as long....maybe about 7 or 8 years I think. And I am not as comfortable with creating bead project as I am with crazy quilts. But I love BEADS!!!
I have signed up for the Crazy Quilt Journal Project (CQBJ) and the Bead Journal Project (BJP) this year so I will be very busy like the rest of you. Let's have a wonderfully creative new year.
Hope you will enjoy my page.... :)
So nice to meet you, Susan. Your work is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm Carol. I monitor the BJP2012 blog. I have switched your name to the list of members with a blog and linked to it.
I can tell already that I will be just one of your avid fans.
Thanks! I'm really enjoying the BJP so far.
DeleteI just read ALL of your posts so far... Great to meet another person who was "born with a needle" in her hand! Love your rocks and your CQ!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin! Love your stuff as well! Thanks for enjoying my blog.

Thanks! I agree that imagination is a 'wonderful' thing. I love seeing how creative people are. I love art in all it forms.
DeleteHi Susan! I spent several days near St. Germain this week (hot ones, too!) and my sister and I saw your blogspot posted in the Tomahawk River Trading Co...one of my favorite shops in the northwoods. I am a bead fanatic & owned/operated a bead shop over 12 yrs. ago. I still have quite the bead stash and since my kids have flown out of the nest, I find myself buying fabric & ribbons, looking at my late mother's button collection, & dreaming! I think I am like YOU, only in reverse! Love your work! It's wonderful eye candy & is giving me the creative juice I need!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy for taking the time to look up my blog. Hopefully it will inspire you. I love that store too. Can't get out of there with out spending mucho $$$$. Maybe you should create a crazy quilt with some of those buttons, fabrics and beads. If you are ever in Eagle River email me and maybe we could get together and talk beads. Maybe you would like to see some of the quilts in person. Again thanks for visiting the blog:)
